Frostgrave: The Chronomatic Cogs

Welcome back to the Vault! I'm continuing to work through the Malign Sorcery models, and this time it's the turn of the Chronomatic Cogs.

The Cogs are a manifestation of Chronomancy; a device with the power to manipulate time itself!

The model had to be painted in its two separate pieces and then glued together; it wouldn't have been possible to get to all the details otherwise.

It was quite fun to paint the various cogs, dials and so on.  The twin tail comet detail on the front ties the model firmly to Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar (and will link nicely into the next post).

In terms of using the Cogs in Frostgrave I'm thinking of something quite simple:

If I could turn back time
Place the Chronomatic Cog mile at the centre of the table top. If a Wizard is within 1" of the Chronomatic Cogs at the start of a turn he may use the machine and receives a +2 bonus to his Initiative roll.

At the end of the game if a Wizard has used Chronomatic Cogs he receives 25 XP.

After his unfortunate encounter with the Lightning Elementals, Cultist Bob has decided to rewind time and avoid the episode all together! Playing with time magic, what could possibly go wrong?
