The Cogs are a manifestation of Chronomancy; a device with the power to manipulate time itself!

Welcome back to the Vault once more.  I'm really enjoying working through the back log of fantasy models and the next project on the painting desk has been the Malign Sorcery Geminids.

In the Age of Sigmar fluff these living spells are a pair of light and dark entities, but I decided to paint them as a form of Ball Lightning.

Frostgrave: The Umbral Portals

Welcome back to the Vault once more my fellow Venturers, and I hope you are all keeping yourselves safe and well during these uncertain times.  Gaming wise I've been playing various board games with the family, and participated in the First Founding Dark Sun D&D campaign session over Discord which was a lot of fun.

I had also planned to play a solo Frostgrave scenario, but my eldest daughter decided she'd like to play so we had an impromptu rumble across the ruins of Felstad; this was a great way to spend a couple of hours!

All the fantasy gaming has put me in the mood to paint some related model, so I decided to pick up my Malign Sorcery project.  I've been painting up some of the wonderful Age of Sigmar Endless Spells models and coming up for some rules for them in Frostgrave.  Next on the list are the Umbral Spell Portals.

Frostgrave: The Scrapskuttle Cauldron

Welcome to the darkest, deepest chambers of the Vault.  This week I have been working on a few gaming and hobby projects; rolling up a character for my first game of 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons (I'm very excited to play this), and working on my latest Intercessor squad (edge highlighting power armour).

I like to listen to podcasts and You Tube videos while I paint and Squidmar Miniatures recently posted a fun video involving a bunch of different commission artists working on the contents of the Warhammer Underworlds Goblin Warband.  This is a collection of nine really characterful miniatures, and I reckon you can build a decent Frostgrave Warband out of the set.

I've had the Gloomspite Gitz (aka Warhammer Goblins) Endless Spells kit in my shame pile for some time to paint up for Frostgrave, and one model in particular struck me as being useful; the Scrapskuttle Cauldron.  So in advance of grabbing the Warband, I've built and painted the Cauldron!

Frostgrave: The Smoke Silver Swords

Welcome back to Felstad my fellow Wizards. It's time for another tale of wonder from the ruined City of Wonders; today we will learn of the mysterious Smoke Silver Swords!

Many warriors and soldiers have perished within Felstad, and a number of their souls wander lost and and tormented among the fallen chambers and echoing plazas of the City. Some still maintain a  lingering tether to their mortal remains, shackled to the weapons they bore. When a number of such spirits are in close proximity to each other their agony is multiplied and made manifest in the form of Smoke Silver Swords.

Frostgrave: Marley's Spectral Chains

Today I bring you a story from chill Felstad; that fabulous ruined city of Frostgrave fame. Pull your chair closer to the tavern fireside and I will begin the tale of Marley's Chains! 

Marley was not a particular noteworthy Wizard of the Magical City, save for the reputation; he made coin and surely begrudged spending the same. A squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous, old sinner even when his mortal time and passed he ensured that no one would benefit from his wealth. From beyond the grave Marley protects his treasure with Spectral Chains!

As the Cultist approached the treasure, Marley's Chain shimmered into reality!
